What an agent implementation should include
A demonstration can show a promising idea. An operating system also needs permission boundaries, evidence that it works and a person responsible for it.
Agree on the task
Describe the trigger, desired outcome, permitted inputs and definition of success. Identify the cases the system should decline or escalate and the systems it may read or change.
Limit actions and cost
Use task-specific access and explicit limits. Decide which actions require human approval, what the reviewer sees and when approval expires. Specify usage ceilings and what the system does when it reaches them.
Evaluate and recover
Test typical examples, missing data, duplicate events, unavailable services and uncertain outcomes. Keep an observable record of the result. Assign a recovery owner and a way to correct errors without repeating an action blindly.
Hand over the operation
Document configuration, credentials ownership, monitoring, known limits, support and a rollback path. Review the actual results with the operating owner before expanding the scope.
